Broker IMA Financial Group appointed Rich Garner president of IMA Carolinas, effective immediately.
Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, Mr. Garner will lead a team of about 75 associates serving clients in North and South Carolina, IMA said in an announcement. He succeeds Jeff Haney, who will stay on as an executive adviser. He will report to Drew Pippin, president of IMA’s Southeast region.
Mr. Garner joined IMA Carolinas in 2012, when it was known as ECM Solutions. ECM was acquired by IMA Financial in 2023. He was most recently executive vice president of business operations.
Earlier in his career, he owned a brokerage, The Garner Group, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Denver-based IMA Financial is the 17th-largest brokerage of U.S. business, according to the most recent Business Insurance rankings.
