Perils reduces January windstorm loss estimate to $535M
Swiss catastrophe data aggregator Perils AG has released its third insurance industry loss estimate for extratropical windstorm Goretti, which affected southwestern England, northern France and Belgium in early January, slightly lowering the total to 468 million euros ($535 million), Artemis reported. CEO Christoph Oehy said Goretti was the second-largest European windstorm loss event of the 2025-2026 season.
