Intact’s cat losses 150% more than projected in Q2
Canada-based Intact Financial Corporation reported that it had incurred $416 million in catastrophe and large loss claims in the second quarter of the year, nearly 150% more than the $169 million it had projected, Canadian Underwriter reports, citing The Canadian Press. Weather events drove catastrophe losses in Canada, while commercial fires fueled the losses across the U.K. and Ireland.
